The cheeky doggos from The Dog House are back again! This time, instead of hanging out in their usual suburban, white picket-fence neighborhood, they’ve been transported to a bucolic English setting, complete with fairytale castle in the background and plenty of regal outfits to try on.
This is one of those series that Pragmatic Play just seems to keep on milking, meaning there must be demand for it. But placing the new setting to one side, the tweaks to the gameplay are minimal, and essentially amount to a new buy the bonus option with bigger multipliers. However, that is kind of welcome, because the standard 2x and 3x multipliers in previous titles in this series can feel a little dull. Just take care because the price for the new bonus option is set at an eye-watering 500x your wager!
In the standard game, there are 11 different base symbols, and you’re aiming to land them on 20 traditional paylines on the 5 x 3 grid. Wild Multipliers help you complete lines and multiply the value of the win. 3 Bonus symbols will take you into the free spins, where the aim is the same, but now any Wild Multipliers that land are sticky, remaining until the end of the feature.
As we said, the main addition to Royal Hunt is that there’s now an option to buy into a bonus round where the Wild Multipliers are worth 10x or 20x, rather than the standard 2x or 3x.

How To Play
- Choose your bet size and start spinning.
- The aim is to land 3 or more of the same symbol on 20 different paylines, which will result in a win.
- Wild Multipliers (2x or 3x) can land randomly every spin, helping you to complete paylines and multiplying the value.
- Landing 3 Bonus symbols triggers the free spins round. Before that round starts, the number of free spins is decided by a random mini-game – you get around 10 free spins on average.
- The bonus round is the same as the base game, except Wild Multipliers are now sticky, staying on the grid till the end of the round. The feature cannot be retriggered.
- You can also use one of two buy the bonus options. The first costs 100x your wager and is the standard free spins round, while the second costs 500x your wager and Wild Multipliers now have values of 10x or 20x.

- Wild Multiplier: This symbol appears on reels 2, 3, and 4 in the base game and bonus round. - Of late there have been other iterations of The Dog House, like Dog or Alive and Muttley Crew. These introduced small changes to the original concept, and Royal Hunt continues in that vein. In fact, this is probably the most subtle upgrade of them all.
- If you want big multipliers (10x and 20x), you can now get them in the Royal free spins round. To be honest, the standard 2x and 3x multipliers can feel a little paltry by comparison.
- But bear in mind that the price to buy into the new bonus round is steep (500x your wager) and won’t always pay off.
- The Dog House now exists in many flavours, and if you like this series, Royal Hunt is definitely worth a few spins at least. Maybe this one will do it for you?
