Pragmatic Play has a reputation for milking popular slots series and issuing new releases with barely any changes, and this is what we have in Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice. Sweet Bonanza Dice is already on the market, but it seems Pragmatic wanted to give Sweet Bonanza 1000 the dice treatment too. This involves applying some cosmetic tweaks, changing the symbols from fruit and candy to dice, and the Multiplier Bombs to some kind of cartoon character.
Now that would be fine, if a little uninspired, but, as we said in other reviews of Pragmatic’s Dice versions, we struggle to see the benefit. We find the dice symbols harder to differentiate from each other because they all have similar shapes now, and this makes things less enjoyable. The one benefit we can see is that the spots on the dice correspond to the value of the symbols. E.g. the highest value symbol has one spot, the second highest value symbol has two spots, etc. However, at speed, it’s much harder to pick out spots on dice than bananas or apples, for example.
In terms of mechanics and stats, nothing has changed from Sweet Bonanza 1000, so this is still a pays anywhere slot played on a 6 x 5 grid. Landing 8 or more of the same symbol will create a win, and those symbols then tumble off the screen to be replaced. 3 or more Scatter symbols can take you into the bonus round, where Multipliers come into play. It’s still a great game, but the original just makes more sense.

How To Play
- Choose your bet size and start spinning.
- In the base game, land 8 or more of the same symbol anywhere on the grid in a scatter pays/pays anywhere style. Winning symbols tumble away to be replaced. A spin is over when all tumbles and wins have registered.
- Land 4 or more Scatter symbols to enter the bonus round with 10 free spins.

- There’s also the Super free spins option, which is one way to guarantee some excitement in the bonus round, but you have to pay for it at 500x your wager.
- At heart, this is still a decent slot from Pragmatic, but did we need this new Dice version that dilutes the theme and makes the symbols harder to differentiate?
