Play NUUKD For Real Prizes
NUUKD Review
NUUKD takes place after the end of the world, in a frozen land once called green, where AI won, and a buried machine called Mother sends her Babydrills digging for green gold. Shady Lady built it on five reels of six rows with 25 paylines, and nearly everything on the grid is about keeping Mother fed.
Babydrills land and bore straight down their reel, turning every position below them into a mystery canister and charging the Mother Meter as they go. Fill the meter, and Mother hands out favors: multipliers, more canisters, upgrades that turn canisters into better symbols, and extra free spins in the bonus rounds. At the top level, canisters turn into Wilds or Laundry Machines, which pay coins from 1x up to a 20,000x jackpot.
Two free spins rounds sit on top, and the Store sells boosters, bonus buys, Highlight Reels, and Loot Boxes, the same shop that runs through Shady Lady games like Sheeple. Every bonus in it is priced at its average win, which makes the menu easier to read than most.
Pros
- Babydrills give every spin something to watch, and the more that land, the more canisters cover the grid.
- In the free spins the Mother Meter keeps its charge from spin to spin, so the favors build as the round goes on.
- The Super Bonus adds an extra meter tier every time the meter fills, and it averages about 469x the stake against about 79x for the regular bonus.
- Laundry Machine coins can land in the base game as well as the bonus, and they pay up to 20,000x.
- Every bonus in the Store is priced at its average win, so you know what each one is worth before you buy.
Cons
- The base game alone returns about 53.5%, and the free spins land once in 217 spins on average.
- Every canister on the board turns into the same symbol, and often it is a low payer, so a grid full of them can still pay very little.
- The meter fills by random amounts, so it is hard to tell how close the next favor is or what a full meter will be worth.
- The Store has more than a dozen options, from a 1.5x Bonus Boost to a 1,990x Max Win Coin, which is a lot to take in.
- Three builds are in circulation, from 96.08% down to 92.06%, so check which version your casino runs before you play.
Five reels with six rows and 25 paylines, paying left to right for three or more matching symbols starting on the first reel. Stakes run from $0.10 to $50. The top build returns 96.08%, volatility is high, and 18.80% of spins pay. The max win is 20,000x, and the round ends the moment it is hit.
The walrus pays 15x for five of a kind, almost four times the next creature. The other three creatures pay 2.5x to 4x, the four junk symbols 0.5x to 1.2x, and the penguin Wild pays the same as the walrus.
Mystery canisters land in stacks, and when the reels stop, they all turn into the same symbol. Babydrills dig down their reel, fill the positions below them with canisters, and charge the Mother Meter. Each tier the meter reaches releases a favor, and once the canisters are upgraded far enough, they turn into Wilds or Laundry Machines paying coin prizes.
How To Play
- Set your stake between $0.10 and $50. Three or more matching symbols on a payline from the left reel make a win.
- Watch for Babydrills. Each one digs down its reel, fills it with canisters and charges the Mother Meter.
- Every tier the meter reaches releases a favor: a multiplier, more canisters, a canister upgrade or, in the bonus rounds, extra spins. Higher tiers bring stronger favors.
- When the reels stop, every canister turns into the same symbol. Upgraded canisters turn into better symbols, then Wilds or Laundry Machines.
- Three scatters open the Bonus and four open the Super Bonus.
- The Store sells boosters and bonus buys, with every bonus priced at its average win.
Bonus Symbols
- Wild. The penguin counts as any paying symbol and pays the same as the walrus.
- Mystery Reveal Canister. Lands in stacks and is dug up by Babydrills. Every canister on the board shares one level, and when the reels stop they all turn into the same symbol. At the top level they turn into coins or Wilds.
- Babydrill. Between 1 and 5 can land, each on its own reel. It digs down the reel, charging the Mother Meter for every position below it and turning each one into a canister, so one that lands near the top does the most work.
- Laundry Machine. A canister can turn into one. Each pays a coin worth 1x up to the 20,000x Max Win Coin, paid straight away.
- Scatter. Three open the Bonus and four open the Super Bonus.
- Multiplier favor. Lands on canister positions and boosts any win that runs through it.
- Spreader favor. Adds more canisters to the board.
- Canister Upgrader favor. Raises every canister’s level at once, toward coins and Wilds.
- Extra Spins favor. Adds free spins, in the bonus rounds only.

- Loot Boxes. Rare 186x, Epic 344x and Legendary 570x, each opening one of nine enhanced bonuses. The Loot Vault, 1,165x, picks one of four prizes instead, from an instant 100x to 20,000x payout to a bonus with every win multiplied.
SweepsPlays Verdict
- Expect to be confused. In our playtest the Mother Meter was the most interesting part, but it was hard to judge what a full meter would be worth, and after playing for a while we were still not sure how everything ties together. It is not our favorite Shady Lady game.
- Short sessions? The base game is slow and returns about 53.5% on its own, so expect long gaps between bonuses.
- Store shoppers get straight prices. Every bonus costs what it pays on average, so pick the one that suits your budget.
- If you like watching a board build, the Super Bonus is where the Babydrills, canisters and meter come together.
