Play Le King For Real Prizes
Le King Review
When this slot first came out in 2025, there was still plenty of excitement around the Le series, with Le King following Le Bandit, Le Pharaoh, and Le Viking. This time, Smokey heads to a neon-soaked Las Vegas, complete with an Elvis-style wig and rockabilly soundtrack. It’s an extremely bright and distinctive setting, and the visuals are probably one of the game’s biggest strengths.
The gameplay, meanwhile, sticks very closely to the Le Bandit cluster pays formula, with the main addition being the jackpot feature. Jackpot Markers can land on the grid or during the Golden Squares feature, with a Rainbow triggering the amount shown on the jackpot board. The Gold Clover from Le Viking also returns, multiplying all the Coins on screen rather than just those nearby.
Some players clearly loved the game, particularly the way the poker chip jackpots fit the Vegas theme, while others saw it as little more than a Le Bandit reskin with jackpots bolted on. I can understand both sides. To put a positive spin on it, I think the jackpot feature is used subtly enough that it compliments the gameplay and doesn’t overwhelm what already works about the original.
The base game can also produce some surprisingly chunky wins through the cascading clusters, while the bonus rounds retain the familiar Le feel. I do think the bonus could use a little more action though, as the tumbles can feel less generous than in other Le games.
It’s not the reinvention of the series that some were hoping for, but Le Bandit was already a very good foundation, and Le King gives it a suitably flashy Las Vegas makeover, plus mainstream/popular gameplay features added in to attract even more players.
Pros
- Winning formula of Le Bandit plus mainstream jackpot elements
- Max win has been upped to 20,000x
- Moving background visuals that signalled an upgrade in the look of this slot series
- Fun sense of humor and strong attention to detail
Cons
- Gameplay hasn't changed all that much from Le Bandit
- 4-tier jackpot gives it a cheaper feel in the eyes of some players
- Looking back with hindsight, it was part of a move toward easy Le Bandit cash-ins from Hacksaw
How To Play
- Choose your bet size and start spinning.
- The aim is to land clusters of 5 or more on the 6 x 5 grid. Winning clusters cascade away, along with all other instances of the same symbol (Super Cascades).
- Cells behind winning symbols get highlighted with Golden Squares. These can then be activated by any Neon Rainbows on the grid, turning the spots into Coins or other special symbols.
- Jackpot Markers from the 4-tier jackpot can also land and be activated by Neon Rainbows.
- Spin City bonus game is triggered by landing 3 FS scatter symbols. Here, Golden Squares are sticky until activated by a Neon Rainbow. Landing more FS scatter symbols adds more free spins.
- Jackpot of Gold bonus game is triggered by landing 4 FS scatter symbols. Here, Golden Squares are sticky until the end of the round, even after being activated.
- Viva Le Bandit! bonus game is triggered by landing 5 FS scatter symbols. This maintains the mechanics of Jackpot of Gold but a Neon Rainbow is guaranteed on every spin. Plus, when Coins are revealed, they will always be Silver or Gold.
