Nolimit City loves the Wild West theme, like it showed us in Deadwood, and loves combining it with hanging, like in Tombstone R.I.P and Tombstone Slaughter. Well, here we have another slot very much in the same vein, though the visuals have been dialed back to feel quite minimal and two-tone. If you like red and black, you will love how this slot looks.
It’s a pays all ways title and takes place on a 5 x 5 grid. You have 10 base symbols, and by lining up 3 or more symbols, you start to produce wins. Wild skulls appear randomly, as do Scatter tombstones, with 3 or more taking you into a bonus round.
So far, so normal, but in both the base and bonus games, things hinge on xNudge Wilds, which you might be familiar with from other Nolimit City slots. Here, the reel-covering Wilds show an image of a guy at the gallows, and whether he hangs or slips out of the noose dictates whether the Wild sticks around for another spin. If he stays, it’ll double the multiplier at the same time. So you’re essentially hoping for the guy to keep cracking his neck in the noose and help you form more wins. How To Play
- Choose your bet size and start spinning.
- In the base game, land 3 or more of the same symbol in a pays all ways style to win.
- Wilds land randomly to help you complete lines. Starting from the first reel, Wilds have a 1x multiplier, and if a second reel has one, a 2x multiplier, etc.
- xNudge Wilds can land randomly on reels 2, 3, and 4. They must cover the whole reel (3 rows) so they nudge up/down if they aren’t doing so, and every nudge adds 1 to the multiplier. Then the man shown on the xNudge Wild can either hang, triggering a respin, or give nothing, taking the Wild off the grid. The respins can go on to hit continuously, with the multiplier doubling each time, but it will max out at 999x.
- Landing 3 Scatter symbols triggers the Dead Spins bonus for 12 free spins.
- Now xNudge Wilds are more frequent, and they always hit respins at least once, doubling the multiplier before the first respin.
- Landing 4 Scatter symbols triggers the Deader Spins bonus with 12 free spins. It’s the same bonus round except multipliers increase by 3x instead of 2x.
- You can buy either of the two bonus rounds, or choose a 50/50 option which gives you a 50% chance of landing either type.

Bonus Symbols
- Wild skulls: These help form paylines by substituting for any base symbol. Starting from the first reel, they have a 1x multiplier, if a second reel has one, a 2x multiplier, and so on. Therefore the max multiplier would be 5x, assuming all reels had one. Multiple Wilds on the same reel have the same multiplier.
- Scatter tombstones: These can land on all reels except the first. Landing 3 Scatters will trigger the Dead Spins round, while landing 4 will trigger the Deader Spins round. If you land 2 Scatters in the base game, they turn into Wilds.
- xNudge Wild: Can land on reels 2, 3, and 4, and will always end up covering the whole reel (3 rows). To get there it may have to nudge up or down, adding to its multiplier by 1 as it does so. Multiple xNudge Wilds on the same spin are additive. Once they land, they apply to the grid for any potential wins, then the following things can happen:
- Nothing, meaning the xNudge Wild falls off the grid.
- The man hangs and the xNudge Wild is sticky while the rest of the reels respin.
- Either the man continues to hang, doubling the multiplier and triggering a respin, or he falls out of the noose, meaning the xNudge Wild falls off the grid.
Bonus Features
- Dead Spins: This is the standard bonus round. Except for the last spin, xNudge Wilds are always sticky for at least one respin, plus the multiplier gets doubled before the first respin starts. Landing a Scatter on reel 5 will upgrade to Deader Spins for the free spins you have left and add 2 free spins. You can buy this bonus for 99x your wager.
- Deader Spins: Same as in Dead Spins but xNudge Wild multipliers triple rather than double with every respin. You can buy this bonus for 499x your wager.

- This slot feels a little minimal for Nolimit City, but that’s because this studio usually sets the bar so high with a myriad of features. If any other developer had made this game, we’d be very impressed, so it is a great new game.
- The key to winning is landing xNudge Wilds and hoping the guy sticks around to keep triggering respins/doubling multipliers. It’s quite disheartening when he falls out of the noose, and it can feel like the game is teasing you a bit when this happens consistently.
- While it is minimal, Dead, Dead or Deader is plenty atmospheric and has an excellent soundtrack.
- As with most Nolimit slots, it has very high volatility but a great RTP.
