New Slots Round Up: 3rd May – 9th May 2025

We’ve quite a few new titles to keep you occupied this weekend!

Two come from Pragmatic, a studio that really cranks out the new slots, with not too much originality these days, but a certain degree of reliability. And you can’t deny they look great either. Wild West Gold Blazing Bounty is a sequel to Wild West Gold and the subsequent Megaways version, but now we have a cluster pays format replacing the left-to-right paylines. Then Eye of Spartacus reminds us of the legendary Duel at Dawn slot, but here we have an Ancient Roman theme rather than cowboys.

Next, we can take a look at Pragmatic associates, Fat Panda, who are also cranking out plenty of new titles lately, although they all feel quite simplistic and mobile-size rather than expansive and dramatic. Maybe that’s your bag – if so, you could try out Starlight Wins and Pig Farm this week. The former comes out ahead if you’re comparing max wins, with an eye-watering 100,000x potential!

Then we come to Hacksaw, clocking in with two titles. One is our Game of the Week below, while the other, Booze Bash, brings us the old-school cartoon visuals that this studio is famous for, along with a new type of gameplay. You have a grid of 12 squares with two halves each, so 24 halves in total, and the idea is to match two halves to land a win, or a multiplier, which applies to the whole board. While it’s a bit less stimulating than normal slots, it’s something novel and pairs well with the game’s classy theme.

Finally, BGaming brings us Olympus Trueways – one for Megaways fans – and the simplistic Lucky Lu, although both of these titles feel a little derivative (you could maybe tell from the names alone).

Game of the Week

Looking at the name, you may think Ultimate Slot of America is about to rip into the USA, especially when you consider Nolimit City’s slots like Land of the Free and Home of the Brave, which did just that. However, there’s no overt ball busting here – maybe some tongue-in-cheek poking, but nothing too extreme.

As for the gameplay, it uses a 5 x 5 grid (with tropes like the American Eagle, Uncle Sam, and baseball for symbols). The aim is to land wins of three or more symbols on one of the 19 paylines, and you’ll be assisted by ‘Liberty Gems’, which act as Wild Multipliers. They’ll also trigger a respin, allowing you to make more use of them while they’re on the grid. They can combine into ‘Gem Clusters’ too (4 x 4, 5 x 5, etc), adding up their multipliers for even bigger wins.

Then, it’s Hacksaw, so we have a few different flavors of bonus round:

  • Spin-dependence Day
  • Red, White, Bling!
  • Pursuit of Riches

Each round ups the ante by adding in more chances to win; Red, White, Bling! is a nice level to play at with its sticky Liberty Gems. You can buy into the first two rounds for 125x and 200x your current bet respectively, while the last round can only be achieved by spinning in with 5 Scatters.

If you’re feeling patriotic and don’t mind laughing at a few stereotypes, you could have fun on this slot over the weekend and beyond. It has the potential to get pretty tasty once the Liberty Gems stack up!
