New Slots Round Up: 25th October – 31st October 2025

Hello! It’s time to take a look at the new online slots out this week, and we start with 3 Pigs of the Caribbean Hold & Win by Gaming Corps.

3 Pigs of the Caribbean Hold & Win

This slot reminds me of something like 3 Hot Teapots from 3 Oaks (among others) as we have 3 piggies sat above the grid, each representing a different flavor of hold and win bonus round. It’s a pattern that seasoned slots fans will have seen before, but it’s spruced up rather nicely in this piggie x pirate mashup. The Red Pig grows the size of the grid in the bonus, the Yellow Pig adds multipliers, and the Blue Pig adds more spins. These features can combine, and, of course, there are jackpots available too.

Next up is 3 Power Genies from AvatarUX, and here the repetitiveness sometimes present in the slots world is on full display as it’s a very similar concept to what I’ve just discussed – you could probably tell by the name anyway. Yes, here the Purple Genie adds more spins to the hold and win round, while the Blue Genie expands the grid, and the Green Genie adds in special symbols to boost wins. So I’d recommend playing only one of these two new titles, unless you really love this type of game?

Unfortunately, creativity is still lacking as we head into Big Catch Xmas, also from AvatarUX. This is a Christmas-themed reskin of Big Catch Craze which came out earlier this year, and that was AvatarUX’s take on the popular fishing slot genre. Every slots studio needs one, but I feel Big Catch Craze doesn’t match up to what’s already out there.

AvatarUX tried a new angle (pun intended), with the fishing net that captures the fish money symbols. That’s available in both the base game and bonus round, but it only usually captures sections of the grid, and if there are no fish money symbols on-screen anyway, it’s useless. So to have the same game dressed up ready for Christmas doesn’t really set my world on fire. Seeing Santa on the boat, and tinsel for the net is funny, but the novelty soon wears off. The RTP has also dropped from 96.02% in the original to 95% – sad face.

Can Blazing Coins: Hold & Win save us? Hmm, not particularly. It’s our third hold and win game this week, and it’s the most simplistic of all on a 3 x 3 grid with a fruit machine aesthetic. In fact, the visuals also steal from Coin UP: Hot Fire by 3 Oaks, so if you want something along these lines, I’d recommend that instead.

Overall, this week’s slot round up is bereft of any true creativity, unfortunately. Let’s hope things pick up as we take a look at our Game of the Week below…

Game of the Week

If you Google the term ‘Bangkok Hilton’, you’ll find an Australian TV series from 1989 starring Nicole Kidman. Is this show linked to the slot in any way? Well, conceptually they’re based on the same idea, being set in a Bangkok prison. And I believe the ‘Hilton’ part of the name is inspired by a real jail used in the Vietnam War – one which American POWs would jokingly call the Hanoi Hilton.

Nolimit City enjoys prison-based slots, as evidenced by the San Quentin series and Folsom Prison. There’s also Mental, of course, which is set in a mental facility and could be classed as another prison of sorts. The high paying symbols here are all female inmates, and the visuals feature crawling cockroaches and a general sense of being banged up.

But is Bangkok Hilton any good when it comes to gameplay? We need something fun to play this week. Fortunately, the answer is: yes. You can often rely on Nolimit City for a quality slot, and while this one does pull a lot of features from previous NLC games, everything comes together in a satisfying package.

The grid is a unique 2-3-4-4-4-4 shape, and lines are registered in a connected win ways manner over 152 lines. It’s not quite all ways pays – winning symbols have to be touching as you move from left to right. Then, above the grid you’ll notice 4 Enhancer Cells, and these are unlocked whenever a Bonus symbol lands on that respective reel – that Bonus then turns into a Wild to be used for wins.

Enhancer Cells can unleash the following features: xSplit Reel, xSplit Row, xWays, Doubled Inmate, Sticky Wild, and Wild Reel. As you can see, it’s the usual NLC styles. The bonus rounds are called Isolation Spins and Execution Spins, and they’re triggered by 3 or 4 Bonus symbols respectively. Then the Enhancer Cells unlocked by the Bonus symbols stay unlocked for the whole round.

If you’ve played a NLC slot before, you’ll know largely what to expect here, and Bangkok Hilton doesn’t quite hit the fresh and creative heights of games like San Quentin and Mental.

However, it’s still a very solid slot with extreme volatility and the potential for a giant 44,444x max win. It’s also great to see there aren’t any God Mode or expensive bonus buys – just a collection of reasonable options when you click the yellow lightning bolt. Plus, it’s easily the best thing out this week, so give it a go below!
