New releases this week range from Hacksaw horror and Pragmatic’s barnyard sequel, to Popiplay’s monster beach trip, and plenty more in between!
The Wildwood Curse is the first of two games from Hacksaw Gaming in this roundup. It’s based on that horror trope of a bunch of young people heading into the woods, and they’ll be looking out for The Psycho, The Monster, and The Twins here. But rather than running away in terror, they’re probably hoping these guys show up, as each brings a unique mechanic to boost your wins via Cursed Clusters. With a John Carpenter-esque soundtrack, this could be one to save for Halloween.

Then the second title from Hacksaw is the excellent Chaos Crew 3, which is our Game of the Week, so read on for that.
Sticking with the monsters concept, but with a much lighter atmosphere, we have Monsters Getaway from Popiplay. It’s themed around a bunch of the aforementioned ghouls taking a vacation to the beach, and while the base game is dull, things come alive somewhat in the bonus round, mainly with the progressive meter that unlocks multipliers and retriggers free spins.
One of the more popular slots of 2025 so far has been Brick House Bonanza, and Pragmatic Play brings us a sequel before the year is out. Yes, Bigger Barn House Bonanza uses much of the same gameplay as BHB – that’s a 5 x 3 grid with a spinning wheel on top, but the main aim is to get to the free spins and build up structures to win big prizes. This time instead of a 3 Little Pigs theme, we have a fox vs. chicken-type story, and it’s good to see the max win has gone from 10,000x to 25,000x.
Bounty Frenzy is set in the Wild West, and it’s a cascading, 5 x 4 reel slot where each win increases your global multiplier (represented by the chambers in a revolver). Then in the free spins, this multiplier builds over the course of the round, instead of resetting with each spin. It’s not a bad little slot from TaDa, but the RTP is sub-95%, which isn’t ideal.
Next up we have another cowboy-themed game with ‘Bounty’ in the title: Bounty Hunter from Pragmatic. This one features 20 paylines, high volatility, and a money symbol collection at its core. For this, the money collector cowboy duels the other characters, and if he wins, he collects from them. It’s reminiscent of Hacksaw’s slots with DuelReels, like Duel at Dawn and Bullets and Bounty, but a little different and less serious in tone.

Growing Grandma Dream Drop is another slot with low RTP this week, clocking in at 94% – hopefully it’s not a trend that’s about to catch on. That said, the theme here is fun, with a lovely old grandma collecting dentures! She can appear on the grid as a Wild, and the more dentures you collect, the bigger the Wild can grow – 2×2, 3×3 etc. It’s charming and relaxing, plus there’s Relax Gaming’s special Dream Drop feature which can lead to some randomized jackpot payouts.
Bullshark Games loves cluster pays slots (e.g. Culinary Clash and Gem Ghosts from recent months) and this week we have another from the Estonia-based studio: Paper Biker. Aside from landing clusters of 5 or more, you’ll be looking out for the Newspaper Roll symbol – when it hits, it sprays out multipliers to 3 – 10 random squares. You also have plenty of ante-bet options, and while it’s a simplistic game on the whole, you can get into an enjoyable rhythm with it.
Finally there are a couple of new non-slot titles in the form of Spire+ and Fortune Spin. These games have higher RTPs than is standard for slots, so they might appeal to some players.

Game of the Week
Hacksaw continues its purple patch in 2025 with a sequel in the much-loved Chaos Crew slot series. The original came out in 2020, making a mark with its glitchy, neon graffiti and urban decay aesthetic. Then we got Chaos Crew 2 in 2023, bringing a significant upgrade in terms of gameplay – the Best of Bonus in particular was a fan favorite feature.
Chaos Crew 3 doesn’t break the mould with alterations this time, but it does maintain the high standard of quality, resulting in another excellent entry in the series. And of course, Cranky Cat and Sketchy Skull return, along with a new character named Glitch Dog.
For a start, CC3 looks amazing – the whole thing feels incredibly colorful and crisp. Like before, we have 19 paylines, plus the Cranky Cat Wild Multiplier returning to help form wins in the base game.

3 FS Scatter symbols trigger the classic bonus round, with multipliers above each reel that build as you land more Crazy Multipliers. These totals can jump up suddenly – sometimes into the 1000s – thanks to the true multiplication, rather than just addition as in many other slots.
Then we have a few new features, one being that spelling out ‘CHAOS’ horizontally will trigger an Epic Drop, which is where the Glitch Dog makes an appearance, eventually leading to a big batch of multipliers that get tallied up at the top of reels like in the bonus game. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to trigger this during my test session, so it must be a rare occurrence.
Fortunately, we have plenty of bonus buy options for times like these, so you can buy the various special features without having to grind through.
The max wins in Chaos Crew seem to correspond to the entry in the series, going from 10,000x, to 20,000x, and now 30,000x in CC3, which is great.
If you enjoyed the previous versions of this game, there’s no doubt you’ll like this one too. And if you’re a Chaos Crew virgin, make sure to try CC3 out below.
