Pragmatic Play really spoiled us this week, releasing five new slots. Well, Plushie Wins comes from Pragmatic’s new Fat Panda imprint, which focuses on ultra simple, low variance slots. It’s an interesting contrast when compared to the likes of Nolimit City and its super complex games. Mechanically, Plushie Wins feels more like a basic, old-school fruit machine, but it has a modern UFO catcher theme, with the usual Pragmatic polish.
Hades Inferno 1000 is a remix of Gates of Olympus 1000 with an Underworld slant, and speaking of Gates, we also have Gates of Olympus Super Scatter this week. This new version keeps the gameplay the same, but throws in a Super Scatter symbol to create the potential for more massive wins. Then, Big Bass Bonanza 1000 adds one more sequel to the most-milked slot series of all time!
Next, we have the ancient Egyptian-themed Age of Seth from Bullshark, a Hacksaw Gaming collaborator. This is a nice new title, featuring a cluster pays format, a progressive bar above the grid, and Grid Boosters, which feel like something from a Play’n GO game or Gems Bonanza.
Finally, we had to pick Mental II as our Game of the Week, so read on for more on that eerie new slot from Nolimit City…

Game of the Week
It’s a big deal for Nolimit City to release a sequel to one of the most groundbreaking slots of all time, Mental. The original came out in 2021, and almost 4 years later, here we are with the second installment. Mental II ratchets things up in most metrics: heavier music, more bonus features (like xHole and xGod), higher max win, and it feels even more highly volatile.
It’s always hard for sequels to outdo the original, as people grow attached to the first version, and it’s natural to compare and contrast. As a standalone game, this is still an excellent slot, but on first impressions, it doesn’t quite have the X factor (no pun intended) that the original did.
For a start, the storyline has changed – naturally – but rather than a full cast of gruesome inpatients, there’s now only one, a young girl. Also, it’s a little harder to track the symbols on-screen due to the updated designs and colors used.
And then the gameplay: it feels like a slot that’s been set up for bonus buys, because trying to grind this one out with small base game bets would be a test of endurance. But in a way, Nolimit makes no bones of this fact – this title does carry Nolimit’s ‘Insane’ volatility rating.
All in all, if you like wild variance and bonus buys, as well as dark themes, it’s 100% worth giving Mental II a go. You can make up your own mind whether you prefer it or the original.
