New Slots Round Up: 20th September – 26th September 2025

Let’s check out this week’s new slots, and it’s a strong batch this time around. Who needs Pragmatic Play!

Banana Farm is one of two new releases from Backseat Gaming. On the surface it’s rather simple. The main feature in the base game is Wild Reels – these land randomly in the form of banana trees that cover the whole reel with multipliers attached.

Then the bonus game reminds me of Big Bass with the progressive meter along the top of the screen. Here, when you land Bonus symbols you’ll light up a square on the meter, gaining free spins and Sticky Wild Reels as you advance. Banana Farm has a nice flow, and while the gameplay is rather basic, it’s got charm and can pay handsomely. Up to 25,000x, in fact.

Next, Relax Gaming serves up Frank’s Diner, which reminds me of previous titles from this studio like Banana Town thanks to the pixel graphics and chiptune soundtrack. There’s a lot going on over at Frank’s, so I’ll only mention the main points.

It’s an all ways pays slot with a tumbling mechanic, and you’ll see multiplier values sat above the grid – these work in tandem with Wilds. So if a Wild falls on the second reel, its multiplier is 2x, for example. Also, if a Gold Wild forms a win, you’ll get a respin in the base game.

In the bonus game, the same action will increase all multiplier values above the grid by 1, so you’ll be crossing your fingers for this to happen often. All in all, Frank’s Diner is a fun little game but can feel a little slow to build up momentum.

The second new slot from Backseat this week is Pirate Rocket. Unfortunately it’s not another slot in the excellent Pirate Bonanza series, but essentially a reskin of the somewhat-popular Chocolate Rocket from February. Did we need this? Not necessarily, but now you have it!

Coming across like Little Red Riding Hood crossed with a superhero movie, Belle the Blade Hunter from Bullshark is next up. Overall, it’s a fairly average slot. It’s perhaps worth mentioning that 3 or more wilds in the base game trigger a respin, and you get persistent, roaming wilds in the bonus game. The fantasy theme is nice, but there are more exciting games to spend your time on this week.

Next, Yommi Rush from BGaming is the latest candy slot gracing our screens. The title comes from the Yommi characters here, looking like the furry cousins of Mike Wazowski. It’s a cluster pays game, and the Yommis act as wilds, hoovering up candy clusters, adding 1 to their multiplier, and moving around the board. The bigger wins kicks in when 2 Yommis meet, adding their multipliers together. The max win is low at 2,000x and the volatility is medium, but I know some players like the lower volatilities.

zombie road slot

On the contrary, Zombie Road from Peter & Sons has a much bigger max win of 20,000x, plus the beautiful visuals we’ve come to expect from this Armenia-based studio. The rhythm is a bit bewildering when you first load this up, but it’s a relatively simple, tumbling game on a compact 5 x 3 grid.

Every time a win falls away, a wild drops onto the grid, charging up the multiplier for that reel. Then the tumble happens, potentially benefiting from any multipliers that have built up. So the game’s scope is limited, but it works overall, partly because of the quality of the whole package.

Finally, in Clucking Hell, BGaming and collaborator Perfect Position seem to have been taking hints from Nolimit City, as we have a fairly obscene game title with a max win of 6,666x. The main character is a chicken with an upside-down pentagram on its chest too! For the gameplay, think Sugar Rush, but with some extra features thrown in, like Replicator Cells, which randomly boost the multipliers on these highlighted squares.

Now let’s get onto our Game of the Week from Shady Lady

New Slots

Game of the Week

Are games featuring knitting and sewing grannies trending at the moment? We had Growing Grandma Dream Drop the other week, and now Sew from Shady Lady, although the atmospheres couldn’t be more different. That’s because Sew feels like a horror movie that Ari Aster might direct.

We have a 4-5-4-5-4 formation to the reels here, which paired with the creepy feel and high volatility certainly draws comparisons to Nolimit City’s classic, Mental. Another similarity is body parts as symbols, though they only come out to play later on in Sew…

To start with, the base game looks almost quaint, with cups of tea, a biscuit tin, and embroidered symbols. But the dark music tells you something is off.

The main idea here is to land lines in an all ways pays manner. You can also trigger random Hot Zones which apply multipliers, wilds, and multiplier wilds.

Then, landing 3 Scatters triggers the Bonus Game, and things take a sudden turn for the macabre. This is essentially a Hold and Win round, with the 3 spins represented by fingers getting chopped off in a guillotine! Blanks, Body Part symbols, and special symbols can land, and the Body Parts will transform into stretched out patches of skin with multipliers on. It’s around this point you realize this game’s true character.

There are all manner of special symbols which can further your wins too, like Finger Face, which collects the values of all skin patches and adds the sum to the multiplier on that square. And these skin patch multipliers essentially become a positional mechanic, where the values apply to new symbols that land on top of them. It’s not a million miles away from the multiplier concept in Sugar Rush, although the vibe couldn’t be more different.

Sew from Shady Lady is like the new Mental for 2025, with the gore ratcheted up a notch. It’s very graphic at times, so approach with caution. I won’t spoil the ‘storyline’, but suffice to say this game is perhaps the most unsettling slot out there now.

It’s also incredibly good. Again with the Nolimit City similarities, Sew does require you to invest in bonus buys (of which there are many) to get the most out of the game – and you’ll also have to invest time to understand the rules – but this will undoubtedly be one of the strongest slots of 2025 come the year’s end.

The RTP is 96.30% and the max win is 20,000x, if you needed any more persuading. Give it a go below, just not before bedtime!
