The slot release cycle doesn’t slow down, and this week brings a mix of simple titles, heavy hitters chasing max wins, and a couple of shameless but entertaining clones.
Let’s start off with Code of Cairo from Fat Panda, which continues this studio’s line of basic, mobile-first slots – perfect for beginners. For example, the action here takes place on a 3 x 3 grid and you’ll get a nice spread of regular wins from the lower volatility.
Bee Keeper features a unique honeycomb grid, and there’s a burly beekeeper with an impressive beard stood to the side that reminds me of the main character from Big Bass. I wondered if Bee Keeper would be similar in some way to Big Bass – especially as the common factor is Pragmatic Play – and it turns out it is. A big part of the gameplay here is the honey jar money symbol, and in the bonus feature, landing a Bee Wild collects all the money values, in a similar fashion to Big Bass. So if you like that series, you will probably like Bee Keeper. Unfortunately, max win is only 2,100x.
Devil Fire Twins is the latest slot from TaDa, and it’s doing much better with a 15,000x max win. The standout feature is two special squares on reels 2 and 4, and here the titular twins can land, unlocking any jackpot symbols present elsewhere on the grid. It’s a simple but fun mechanic, and a nice way to score some big lump sums once in a while.
Crystal Clusters from BGaming has a healthy RTP at 97.02%, and theme is mining, which pops up more than you’d think in slots. You’re looking for crystals, in clusters – see what they did there? And every time you land a win, the squares get highlighted and a multiplier is applied or doubled. It’s essentially the same as Sugar Rush, so while it’s far from original, at least BGaming picked one of the best slots of all time to imitate.

Peter & Sons hits us with another great looking slot, and with a solid max win of 20,000x. Bubblegum and Robo has a strong anime vibe, and it really gets going when a VS Wild lands, providing wild and multiplier functions in one reel-covering special symbol. It’s essentially a ripoff of Hacksaw’s DuelReels, but the colorful anime theme and characters involved make this slot memorable.
Masked Treasures from Relax Gaming is a competent Aztec-themed slot, the standout feature being Collect symbols which create the possibility for multipliers on each spin, but it’s a little sedate overall.
Clover Coins 4×4 is nothing to do with off-road vehicles. These numbers refer to the 4 x 4 grid in this Irish-themed slot. In fact, I’m sure I’ve played a variant of this game relatively recently. *goes to check* Yes, Clover Coins 3×3 was released earlier this year. I’m not interested in this kind of slot from TaDa, but maybe you will be?
Halls of Odin from Backseat is much more worthy of your time. There’s plenty going on here with symbols like Mystery Nudge Gates, Coins, and the Eye symbol, plus a global multiplier – and a subtle Viking theme. Those Mystery Nudge Gates cover a whole reel and open up to reveal useful symbols, and in the bonus feature they become sticky for even more wins.
Finally, Angel vs Sinner Eternal Battle from Pragmatic re-imagines the angel and devil on your shoulders as two scantily clad babes. Both of the ladies show up as base symbols in the base game, then in the bonus round they fight it out for supremacy in another imitation of Hacksaw’s DuelReels. It’s simple, but looks great with the usual Pragmatic polish.

Game of the Week
Coming in with a tasty max win of 25,000x, this week’s Game of the Week is Gator Hunters from Nolimit City. It’s the successor to Duck Hunters from earlier this year, which I did quite enjoy. Will Gator Hunters match up?
Gone are the comparisons to Sugar Rush – the nuts and bolts here is a straight up scatter pays slot with tumbles. The main special feature to look out for is the Revolver symbol, which is essentially the chamber of a revolver, and if you spin it and land on a bullet, you get a multiplier added to your spin’s total multiplier.
We also have Eater symbols which manipulate the grid, namely removing other symbols (a random amount) and then turning into a wild.

There are plenty of bonus round options (as is usual for NLC), and there’s another bonus wheel before the feature starts to determine what kind of perk you get for the round. Obviously we want the total multiplier to ratchet up, and that is very possible with the extra intensity at play here. So the bonus rounds are great, but by comparison the base game can feel a little slow with lots of nothing spins.
Like Duck Hunters, things are still very based on shows like Duck Dynasty, at least in terms of theme. The art and music are both spot on, so you’ve got to admire the craftsmanship of a game like this, but the ultra-high volatility will mean it isn’t for everyone.
Lucky for you, you can try the demo out below before you spend any coins on this game.
