After an especially busy roundup last time, things have calmed down for this week. We have four new releases to mention, and three of them come from the BGaming studio. They’re all high RTP, one in particular, which is what we like to see.

The standout slot for this week is Wild Card Gang from BGaming. Fans of Peaky Blinders or Gangs of New York-type movies will dig the theme, but the Merge Up mechanic is a novel twist in its own right.
We’re in a dark and dreary, vintage underworld setting, and in the base game, smokey swing music is playing as the rain beats down on the sidewalk. The symbols are styled to look like a deck of cards, but a deck where gang members occupy the highest value positions.
On each spin, the 6 x 6 grid gets filled with cards, and if clusters of 4 or more line up, the cards collapse into each other. This is the Merge Up mechanic, where 4 or 5 cards become 2, 6 or 7 become 3, etc. During this collapse, the card’s symbol moves up a level, and more cards tumble to fill the spaces, potentially setting off a chain reaction. It’s like you’re moving up through the ranks of the mob with each win, and at the very top is the Scatter. 4 of which send you into the free spins!
In the bonus round, the game is pretty similar to BGaming’s Snoop Dogg Dollars and Aztec Clusters, or even Sugar Rush from Pragmatic. That’s to say, wins explode off the grid but start to build up multipliers on the squares they occupied. It’s a fun mechanic that still has life in it, and BGaming is showing that with Wild Card Gang.
