New Slots Round Up: 12th July – 18th July 2025

It’s another busy week in slots land, so let’s dive into our roundup!

Fans of the Wolf Gold series will be pleased to see another iteration from Pragmatic Play in the form of Wolf Gold 4 Pack. Thanks to its not-entirely-current aesthetic and spinning bonus wheel, this slot feels like something out of a land-based casino, which is a vibe that can be fun to dip into from time to time.

Ice Mints from Pragmatic is a new ‘candy’ game. To sum up the main feature: under the middle three reels, cups are waiting, and if you manage to drop in a Mints symbol, there’s a chance Wilds could emerge and the multiplier from the cup could apply to any wins on the grid.

Dino Drop from Fat Panda/Pragmatic continues FP’s trend of small, mobile-friendly slots – this one plays out on a 3 x 3 grid and reminds me of something like The Land Before Time.

Swoll is our Game of the week below, so read on for that and a chance to try the demo out!

Cat’s Soup by BGaming is a simple and innocent slot that’s probably most noteworthy for its amazing RTP of 98.06%, so give this one a go for the best return on your wagers over time.

Lady Lucky Gun, again from BGaming, is a competent slot with an old-school feel. If you want a break from all the high-intensity modern slots, and enjoy something based around fruit machine symbols, this could be up your street.

Big Bucks Saloon, the third from BGaming this week, is just OK. If you like the cowboy/Western theme, maybe take a look. Other than that, it’s really not doing much new.

Similarly, Tiki Trip from Popiplay has a decent RTP at 97.11%, but the gameplay is basic slots fare. That being said, the Hawaiian theme is certainly relaxing.

We have yet another version of Big Bass, and this one still doesn’t innovate all that much from previous versions. The main thing you’ll notice in Big Bass Reel Repeat is the retro-future sci-fi slant to this game. But ‘repeat’ is certainly the operative word here…

Then we end this section on a high note with Hacksaw Gaming‘s Bullets and Bounty. This was the other contender for Game of the Week, and we urge you to check it out. It’s another cowboy slot, but this one is dark and atmospheric, and it features the famous Hacksaw DuelReels mechanic. Basically if you’ve enjoyed such bonafide classics as Wanted Dead or a Wild or Duel at Dawn, you will love this.

Game of the Week

We wanted to feature Swoll by Shady Lady as Game of the Week to celebrate adding this studio’s slots to our site, but, of course, this slot is great in its own right too. Shady Lady are developing a reputation for over-the-top themes, and Swoll is a great example of this direction.

As the name implies, this slot is all about bodybuilding, impressing your peers on Instagram, and getting the girls; the pumping soundtrack and funny sound effects definitely add to this game’s charm.

It’s an all ways pays slot on a 5 x 4 grid, meaning 1024 ways to win from left to right, and you’ll find Wilds, Scatters to trigger the bonus round, and a special feature that revolves around ‘Swoll’ symbols. These can land randomly on any reel, covering the whole reel with a pink, flexing man: owner of a tasty mullet and some nice tattoos. This is really the key to winning big, as each one that lands provides a win all of its own via a random coin value + random multiplier.

Sometimes, if you get more than one of these on the grid on the same spin, they’ll slide together for an impressive animation. And finally, there’s the Roid Rage feature, which can randomly upgrade the win values on these Swoll reels.

It’s a relatively simple mechanic that sits somewhat separate from the rest of the action, and ultimately you’ll be looking to land as many of these Swoll symbols as possible. In terms of gameplay it’s probably the simplest mechanic from Shady Lady, so make sure to check out other titles like:

However, back to Swoll, where the well-packaged, quite frankly hilarious theme, plus strong overall design quality make this a lot of fun.

I also appreciate the icons to the left of the grid that let you know which features are currently activated (‘Nudge’ and ‘Slide’) – more slots should do this! Anyway, if you like what you’ve heard, try it out below!
