New Slots Round Up: 9th August – 15th August 2025

This week we’ve got 11 new slots to check out, and I’m going to group them by provider, so let’s get into it!

We start with Relax Gaming and an updated version of Net Gains from 2022: Net Gains Dream Drop. To be honest, this new iteration simply includes Relax’s Dream Drop feature (a progressive jackpot network). The gameplay essentially remains the same as before, with Mystery Symbols, Stacked Wilds and Coin Collections forming the three main styles in the bonus round.

There’s a lot going on, and it’ll take you a while to wrap your head around if you’re new to Net Gains. However, it’s worth sticking with. This is still a great slot, especially as the Dream Drop round has now been slipped in and is triggered randomly for the chance to win some instant lump sums.

Next from Relax is Bacon Bankroll, which has an 80s Wall Street with pigs-type theme. It sounds random but it kind of works. The gameplay is simple, but it will suit some players who like it that way. Split Symbols are the standout feature, allowing you to double up the amount of paylines you score when they land. Unfortunately the max win is on the low side at 5,106x.

Now let’s move on to Hacksaw Gaming. Can this studio continue the excellent form it’s been on of late? We have two very strong titles this week. First, Stormborn

While the base game in this Viking-themed slot is relatively basic with its standard paylines, things do come alive in the various bonus rounds. To summarise, when you land 5 coin symbols you’ll trigger the Thunder Respins round, and the aim is to land as many bronze, silver, and gold coins as possible, along with a chest to collect them all. If you’re lucky you’ll receive a multiplier too.

The second flavor of bonus round introduces Sticky Wilds that also have multipliers attached. OK, none of this sounds especially groundbreaking, but Stormborn somehow wraps everything up into a slick and fun Hacksaw-esque package (including Wild God Reels) that will keep you spinning.

The other slot from Hacksaw is the newest title in the Le series, Le Zeus, and you won’t be surprised to hear that’s our Game of the Week.

Now we’ll look at Pragmatic Play, a veteran studio not exactly known for its originality of late. To be honest, there’s little to say when it comes to Hundreds & Thousands, 777 Rush (Fat Panda), and Ultra Burn Dice. They’re all simplistic with no creative features to speak of, and the max wins of 500x-2,000x are basically insulting.

Pragmatic’s best title this week is Genie’s Gem Bonanza, which is essentially a remake of Gates of Olympus with a blue genie substituted in Zeus’ place, and a Mystery Symbol mechanic (similar to Net Gains) instead of a building Total Multiplier in the bonus round.

Then we have BGaming. Joker vs Joker very obviously takes the Joker character from Batman, and I wonder if a cease and desist letter will be on its way from DC’s legal department. The gameplay isn’t very original either, ripping off Hacksaw’s DuelReels, found in the likes of Duel at Dawn and Bullets and Bounty. Grand Mustang is similarly lacking in originality this week, but earns some credit for its searingly bright color palette, giving it a distinct visual style.

Finally, we have Blades of Rome, the sole release from Popiplay. It, too, is unoriginal, based around a scatter pays dynamic and random multipliers in the bonus round, but I’m a sucker for Roman themed-games, and this high volatility slot is far from the worst title this week.

Game of the Week

Le Zeus is the latest title in Hacksaw’s Le series, featuring the now-famous Smokey Le Bandit in various guises and locations. We’ve seen the original Le Bandit, Le Pharaoh, Le Viking, then Le King only a few weeks ago, although the latter has already proved to be another popular hit.

Smokey now stars as a godlike figure atop Mount Olympus in this Greek mythology-inspired installment. Can it beat Gates of Olympus, the OG Zeus-themed slot? Let’s take a look.

Kudos to Hacksaw for changing the gameplay up on each release. While the coins that formed the central mechanic in the original title remain, there are now plenty of other ideas that take equal – or even greater – precedence. Yes, we have our third title this week that uses Mystery Symbols! I’m sure slots studios meet up and agree to all release games with the same ideas at the same time… Here in Le Zeus, Mystery Symbols can produce wilds, high-paying symbols, or a Mystery Reel, which consists of the aforementioned coins, plus diamonds.

It’s certainly not the same as Le Bandit’s Golden Squares concept, and these Mystery Symbols can feel a little infrequent at times. They start to make more sense in the bonus game (called Bolt & Run), where they become sticky and take over the grid, in a good way. Then the second level bonus round (called Myth-Taken Identity) removes the sticky element but adds a Mystery Meter, which, when full, brings back the coins to fill every position on the grid for some potentially big wins.

Visually this game looks great, maintaining the vintage cartoon feel, but now with a yellow/peach glow. The hilarious, slapstick animations are still present too.

All in all, while Le Zeus doesn’t quite hit the heights of some of the earlier Le titles – especially the original – it is another excellent iteration in this series with its own flow and rhythm. It’s medium volatility, works on 19 paylines, and has an RTP of 96.26%. There’s also a healthy 20,000x max win, so try it out for yourself below!
