New Slots Round Up: 4th July – 10th July 2026

This week’s round up is one for fans of medium volatility slots, with an unusually high proportion falling into this classification. Let’s start with one such game: AgroCulture by Relax Gaming.

This reminds me of Aliens Among Us by Hacksaw from only a few months ago. It has a similar art style and a similar abduction theme. I remember a particular wild reel from Aliens Among Us where a cow was getting abducted by a UFO, and that exact thing happens in AgroCulture too. In fact, the aliens in AgroCulture are looking to pick up sheep, chickens, and dogs as well.

The game plays out on a 2-4-4-4-4-2 grid with an all ways pays format, and wild reels can land on the middle 4 reels – another similarity with Aliens Among Us, except that in AgroCulture, the animal on the wild reel is important to note. If it’s a sheep, it will turn all the other sheep symbols on the grid into the Alien, the most high-paying symbol. This essentially gives you a shot at some high-paying lines each time a wild reel lands. If nudges to fully cover the reel take place, that amount also fuels a multiplier. It’s a neat little game with the usual Relax Gaming charm and humor.

40 Power Joker by AvatarUX is another medium volatility slot, this time with 40 paylines on a 5 x 4 grid. Its aesthetic is old-school fruit machine, which won’t be surprising – ‘Joker’ games usually are. There’s also a 4-tier jackpot available, plus more wild reels, available on the middle 3 reels. Finally, there’s a chance to randomly activate the Jackpot feature where a board of 18 spaces is revealed. Here, you’ll be aiming to land 3 of the same jackpot values to win it, at the same time as trying to avoid 3 Bomb symbols. 40 Power Joker isn’t bad, but it’s also not amazing either.

Bushido Blood by Popiplay is one for fans of the samurai legends, and it’s another mainly medium volatility title but with a decent RTP of 97.11%. Anything above 97 feels a little rare these days, but it’s – of course – nice to see. It’s 15 paylines on a 5 x 3 grid here, and the main special feature is multiplier wilds. It’s pretty easy to land the Bonus round too, where a respin feature comes to the fore – any win locks the winning symbols in place with burning frames while the rest of the grid respins. Bushido Blood is a competent enough slot, and the visuals are cool, but they do smack of AI artwork.

3 Rockin’ Penguins by AvatarUX drops the RTP down to 95.77%, which already had me feeling a little grumpy going in. Also, this has to be a ripoff of Punk Penguin by Print, our Game of the Week 6 weeks ago, but it’s just not as good. Partly because the artwork is pretty cheesy, but also because it’s yet another ‘3 pot’ slot, where you can land 3 types of hold & win rounds with extra spins, extra rows, or boosted multipliers. Yawn. It also does that really annoying thing where landing a bonus symbol appears to power up one of the pots, but in reality it’s just a random chance of whether it hits and triggers the round. I see this gimmick a lot these days, and it feels deceptive – it’s just annoying in general.

The lack of originality continues with Bass Rewards Bonanza by Gaming Corps, which seems to try and cash in on the everlasting Big Bass/fishing game concept. I feel like this trend is probably on its last legs now, but it still won’t stop studios from trying, it seems. RTP is down in the dumps at 95.80%, and so is the max win at a lowly 3,000x. Can the gameplay save this thing? Um, it’s similar to Big Bass with a few extras thrown in like collection symbols in the base game and the Multicrease Multiplier, which can add multis to collections of the fish money symbols. In fact, the bonus round is more of a hold & win-type round, so the best part of Big Bass is lacking here.

Blood Rebels by Bullshark Games is significantly less colorful and cute than the usual output by this studio. Now we’re on the streets in some inner-city location, associating with thugs brandishing baseball bats and molotov cocktails. This is another medium volatility slot with 20 paylines, and the main things to look out for are the Single Flip symbol and the Mass Flip symbol. These can turn multiple symbols on the grid to Wilds and apply square multipliers as well as global multipliers. The results aren’t always the same, which keeps things interesting, and this is a pretty fun slot with a good, constant stream of Wild-based wins.

While not one of the premiere slot franchises, BGaming has resurrected the Johnny Cash IP, last used in 2022. Train Heist Johnny Cash is the third and newest game in this series, and it follows Johnny Cash and Gold Rush with Johnny Cash. No, it’s nothing to do with the country singer – this is an anthropomorphic, pistol-wielding cactus, and this latest title is probably the best of his games so far. It also has the best objective stats with a 97.00% RTP and 10,000x max win. That being said, it is a cheeky ripoff of Le Bandit, but I do love that game, so it could be worse. To sum up, if you’re looking for something completely original, you’ll be disappointed, but for a ‘reskin’ of one of the best cluster pays slots ever, look no further.

The second Bullshark game of the week is Bullshark Brawl – this studio must be in a violent mood, although we’re back to cartoonish characters here, reminding me of the Street Sharks cartoon from the 90s. It’s 20 paylines on a 5 x 4 grid, and the main additional feature is how multipliers can appear for use on the side of the grid. Unfortunately, they only apply to certain symbols, and getting everything to coincide is quite tricky. To be honest, even when the multipliers do take effect, it’s not that exciting.

Cash Crooks by Hacksaw has a fun theme around 2 feline bank robbers, but dig into the gameplay and you’ll realise it’s very heavily based on previous Hacksaw release SixSixSix. So this is a payline game with a big reliance on spinning wheels with multipliers. To be honest, I never loved SixSixSix, or any of the other similar games like Rise of Fortuna. For me, landing a line then waiting for a wheel to spin to see what multiplier you get always felt a bit simplistic, and it’s a similar story in the bonus round here. But if you’re into that rhythm, you can give Cash Crooks a go.

Dirty Dates from Popiplay is another Big Bass imitator and, in terms of gameplay, it actually gets closer than Bass Rewards Bonanza because we have a bonus round with a collector symbol and a progressive meter. In terms of theme and visuals, it couldn’t be further away from fishing, unless you’re fishing for dates. The whole thing plays out as if there’s an apartment block of various MILFs (and GILFs) waiting for Cupid’s arrow to strike them. It’s enough to raise a smile with a few tongue-in-cheek visual gags in there too.

• Not My Bag: 3 to 6 mystery symbols land randomly on the reels and they reveal any regular paying symbol. All mystery symbols will reveal the same symbol.
• Arm Slides: Any Wild present on the reel area expands to fill the entire reel with Wild symbols.
• Class Upgrade: Any regular paying symbol is selected and all their instances on the reel area get a multiplier of x3, x5, x8 or x10.
• Extra Seat Space: Any regular paying symbol is selected and all their instances on the reel area are split into 2.
• Full Row Booking: Any 1,2 or 3 reels are selected and all symbols in the chosen reels are split into 2, except Bonus symbol.
• Lithium-ion Batteries: Any 1 or 2 regular paying symbols will be replaced by Wild symbols and all adjacent symbols will be split into 2, except Bonus symbol.
• Turbulence: All non-winning symbols on the reel area are shuffled, except Bonus symbol. Symbols will retain their multiplier and symbol size after the shuffle.
• “Random” Security Search: Any 1, 2 or 3 regular paying symbols will be replaced by Wild symbols.
• Air-mile Multiplier: A random win multiplier is revealed and applied to all wins. Possible multipliers values are x3, x5, x8 and x10.
• Connecting Flights: Win combinations are paid both ways.

As these features can combine on the same spin, it creates a dizzying amount of possibilities, perhaps not unlike the overwhelming experience that modern airports complete with jet lag can present. As for the fundamentals of AFK Airport Security, we’re talking high volatility and 243 paylines on a 5 x 3 grid.

For the 3 levels of bonus round, 1, 2 or 3 random features are active from the off, allowing you to really build up some momentum if things fall right. This game does lack the elegance and coherence that finely tuned, simple mechanics can offer, but it’s an enjoyable exercise in slot maximalism, nonetheless. I didn’t play long enough to learn all the rules off by heart – now I’m wondering how long that would actually take!
